6 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

On the first day of our 6 days Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Desert, we’ll pick you up at Marrakech Menra airport upon your arrival and drive you over to your riad in the Midina. We could start exploring Marrakech from the very first unless you are jetlagged and exhausted.

On the second day of the 6 days Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we’ll drive around Marrakech City, often referred to as the Red City. It is one of the most vibrant and the most visited city in Morocco. It has got a bunch of monuments and things to do while visiting Marrakech. Also, it is actually a mixture of the old and the new.

The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage site ever since 1987. After exploring the Kasbah, we’ll carry on driving toward the city of Ouarzazate, known as the little Hollywood of Morocco. Finally, we’ll head over to Boumalne Dades and spend the night there.

On the 4th day of your 6 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, after breakfast at the Riad, we’ll resume driving to the Sahara Desert. On the way there, we’ll make a bunch of stops along the way. First, we’ll visit the gorge of Toudgha, and the valley of Toudgha a couple of miles from Tinghir City.

Second, we are gonna stop in Tinjdad, a Berber town with the largest palm grove in the region. Last, we’ll get to the Sahara Desert, ride camels over the sand dunes, and see the most spectacular sunset from the highest sand dunes over there. By nightfall, we’ll head down to the luxury desert camp where we’ll spend the night.

On the fifth day of your 6 days Morocco desert tour from Marrakech, we’ll dedicate it to the Sahara Desert. We’ll tour around the Sahara Desert and explore the genuine beauty of Desert life. First, in the morning, we’ll get up early so that we don’t miss the enchanting Saharan sunrise and take some of the best pics out there.

Next, we’ll drive in the middle of the desert in a 4×4 car and pay the nomads a little visit and see what their simple lives are like there. After that, we’ll visit Khamlia, a village where a bunch of Gnawa resides, whose music we’ll listen to for a bit, and then have a traditional Berber lunch. By the end of the day, we’ll get to your hotel in Merzouga to rest and spend some relaxing time by the pool.

On the sixth and last day of our 6-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Desert, we’ll leave for Marrakech, while taking a different route. We will visit the Rissanis traditional market. Also, we will make a stop at the largest palm grove in Morocco called Daraa Valley. Our 6-day desert tour comes to an end when we drop you off in Marrakech either at the airport/ Riad.
