4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech

In the morning, we will pick you up from your Riad in Fez and head towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. On the way there, you will stop by Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Africa, and Azrou, a Berber village famous for its cedar forests and monkeys.

You will then continue to Midelt, a small town known for apples, where you will have lunch. Afterward, you will drive through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, a town known for its fossils, before reaching Merzouga.

You will have a camel ride through the sand dunes to reach your desert camp where you will spend the night. On the first day of our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will have time to watch the sunset. Also, sandboarding.

On the second day of our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will make sure you wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes, then have breakfast at the camp and a cozy shower. You will then take a 4×4 ride across the Sahara Desert to explore the desert lifestyle and meet actual nomads who lead traditional lives. After that, our driver will pick you up and head towards the Toudgha Gorges, known for its mountains and cliffs.

It is in fact heaven for climbers and those obsessed with mountains and rocks. On the way there, you will stop by Rissani, a town known for its traditional souks and Ksars, before reaching the Toudgha Gorges. Afterward, you will continue to the Dades Gorges, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, you will leave the Dades Gorges and head towards Marrakesh. You will pass by Skoura, known for its Kasbahs and palm groves, and Ouarzazate, the little Hollywood of Africa, where you will visit the Taourirt Kasbah and get to see the Berber architecture.

You will then continue to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the spot where some parts of some Hollywood movies were shot such as gladiator, the Mummy, and so on, before driving through the High Atlas Mountains with their diverse scenery and landscapes.

When we arrive in Marrakesh, we will have dinner and spend the night there at some great Riad and have the most delicious dinner. The 3 day of Our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes may end up in Ouarzazate or the Valley of Roses depending on the high season.

On your last day of the 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will have a full day to explore Marrakesh often referred to as the “Red City.” We will get to see the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the bustling souks. In the afternoon, you can visit the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden that is also home to the Islamic Art Museum.

Later in the day, we’ll take to see the Yves Saint Laurent Museum or the Menara Gardens. In the evening, you can watch the sunset at the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which transforms into a lively night market. You will witness the best nightlife in Marrakesh city and we are sure you will have a blast.
