3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

On the first day of our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will pick you up in Marrakech at your Riad. Then, we will drive through the Atlas Mountains with the most spectacular views and landscapes. After making several stops, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou along the way to see and enjoy the beauty of this Kasbah and learn about its long and interesting history.

Next, we are going to have a traditional Berber lunch at one of Ouarzazate’s best restaurants. The Ouarzazate city is only a few miles away from the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. It is famous for its Atlas studios, and Kasbah Taourirt which we will be visiting after lunch.

Ouarzazate is often referred to as the little Hollywood of Africa because of the fact that some parts of famous local & foreign movies were shot there and is a top destination in Morocco with thousands if not even millions of visitors every year. late in the afternoon, we are going to drive all the way to Boumalne Dades and spend the night there.

On the second day of our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we’ll get up early and leave for the Sahara Desert. On the way there, we are going to stop in a number of beautiful places such as the Valley of Todgha, and the Gorges of Toudgha, situated a few miles from Tinghir, a small Berber town in the Southeastern region of Morocco.

After that, we are going to continue driving to Tinjdad, where we will stop for lunch at one of the best restaurants there and then carry on driving through Mellab, Eljorf, and Erfoud, which are all desert towns and the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

When we arrive in the Merzouga/ Sahara Desert, we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and a camel ride to the highest sand dunes in the area to enjoy and savor every moment of that spectacular Saharan sunset. After that, you will carry on to Our luxury desert camp. Your items will be taken to the camp by our driver.

After our Desert breakfast in the middle of the Sahara Desert, it’s time to be on our way back to Marrakech while taking a different route and visiting other places and towns along the way such as Alnif, Nkob, and stopping at the Ait Saouen pass with some of the highest mountains and cliffs.

We’ll be taking pictures along the way until we arrive back in Marrakech, where our 3 days tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga comes to an end
