We will explore the active souks of the old Medina of Fes explore the magical architecture and taste some of Morocco’s delicious cuisine.

First and foremost during your visit to Morocco, you will get to see the second and oldest city in Morocco, Fes, as you will explore the next day with a local guide. Next, we are going to visit Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and explore the beautiful cedar forest in Azrou, home to the Barbary apes. You can even feed the monkeys if you fancy! After that, we are going to visit Erfoud,  a fossil town.

Not to mention that you will have a Camel trekking across the Erg Chebbi Dunes, sandboarding, and the chance to enjoy a spectacular desert sunset and sunrise. Itinerary: 6 days Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day I: FES- IMPERIAL CITY- AIRPORT

On the first day of our 6-day Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert, we will meet you & pick you up at the airport of the imperial city of Fes and drive you over to your Riad to rest and spend the night.

Day II: FES- LOCAL TOUR- SIGHTSEEING IN FES- MEDINA OF FES

On the second day of our 6 days Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will have the opportunity to visit the popular imperial city of Fes. Get ready for a full day of exploration of Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco.

Get “lost” with your local guide as you wander through the narrow winding streets of the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali (Old Medina) where you’ll pay a visit to centuries-old tanneries, intricately decorated mosques, plus one of the oldest universities in the world and the first ever founded by a woman, the University of Al-Quaraouiyine. While there, don’t forget to immerse yourself in the medina’s bustling atmosphere as you wind your way through the old city’s countless lively markets.

Not to mention, discover some of the most fascinating historical hot spots outside of the medina to experience Fes from a different perspective. Stops include the Royal Palace Gates, the Jewish Quarter, and the South Tower, which offers an incredible panoramic view of the old city.

As if that weren’t enough, Fes is also famous the world over for its one-of-a-kind ceramics. To learn more, you’ll have the opportunity to get to meet local artisans and see first-hand how they practice their craft.

Day III: FES- IFRANE- CEDAR FORESTS- MIDELT- ERFOUD- SAHARA DESERT

On the third day of our 6 Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will drive down to the Sahara Desert. On the way there, we will pass through the city of Ifrane, often called the little Switzerland of Africa. It has beautiful and picturesque architecture. After that, we will stop at Cedar Forests, home to the Barbary apes. You can even feed the monkeys if you fancy!; we will take numerous pictures and enjoy the unique Atlas atmosphere.

Next, we will continue our drive toward Midelt and then the Ziz Valley, dotted with seemingly endless palm groves and small Berber villages. In the evening you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll hop on a camel and trek into the mesmerizing Sahara Desert to spend the night in a camp.

On the way to the luxury desert camp, you will have a stop to hike one of the highest dunes in Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset.  At the luxury desert camp, you will have the evening entertainment including a drum circle and a campfire under a massive starry sky.

Day IV: SAHARA DESERT- LOCAL TOUR

On the fourth day of our 6 days in Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert, we will dedicate this day to exploring the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. We will take a 4×4 car and take a tour around the most visited places in the Sahara Desert, starting with the Erg Chebbi dunes.

We’ll explore the Saharan lifestyle, meet nomads, and spend quality time exploring an oasis. We’ll spend a lot of time with real nomads in the Sahara Desert where we’ll learn about their simple but amazing way of life.

In addition to that, we’ll have mint tea, eat desert food which is going to be desert pizza as a main dish, enjoy the Touaregs Berber music in Khamlia and their traditional dance, and capture a ton of photos and videos. Today, you will have the afternoon free so you can rest and relax by the pool at the hotel in Merzouga.

DAY V:SAHARA DESERT- ERG CHEBBI- TOUDGHA GORGES- DADES VALLEY

On the fifth day of our 6-day Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech, we’ll make sure you get up early so you can see the magnificent dawn over the sand dunes, then have breakfast at the hotel and have a warm shower.

After that, we’ll visit Rissani, a traditional Berber town with a popular market/ Souk, and then drive through Erfoud where we will see a fossils workshop, often known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. After that, we will head the road to the Toudgha Gorges, which are famous for their cliffs and mountains.

Climbers and people who are crazy about mountains and rocks will find this place a paradise. Before arriving at the Toudgha Gorges, we will pass through several towns such as Tinjada, which is renowned for its souks and Ksars.  After lunch, you will then proceed to the Dades Gorges, where you will spend the night.

DAY VI: BOUMALNE DADES- OUARZAZATE- ATLAS MOUNTAINS- MARRAKECH

On day six and the last day of our 6 days Morocco tour from Fes to Marrakech, after breakfast, you will depart the Dades Gorges and travel to Marrakech. You will pass through the Rose Valley, Skoura, known for its Kasbahs and palm groves, and Ouarzazate, Africa’s “Little Hollywood,” where you can visit the Atlas studios.
