2 days desert tour from Fes to Merzouga

On the first day of our 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga – from one of the four imperial cities in Morocco to the Sahara Desert – you will be picked up by our driver from your riad with your first stop in Ifrane. This charming mountain village is often referred to as the ‘Little Switzerland of Morocco’ due to its unique architecture amongst a backdrop of snow in the winter. Ifrane is also known as home to the best University in Morocco, which hosts both local and foreign students.

As you continue your drive across the middle Atlas Mountains, soak in scenes of its beautiful forests and landscapes along the way to Midelt. From there the tour will continue through the Tizi Talghomt pass where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views en route to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a glass of tea, giving you the chance to rest before your camel ride across golden sand dunes. An unforgettable journey as you enjoy an incredible sunset on the way to your well-equipped camp where you will spend the night.

On the second and last day of your 2 days Sahara Desert tour from Fes to Merzouga, it is recommended that you get up early to catch the most spectacular sunrise before a yummy Saharan breakfast.

Once ready to hit the road, you’re off to Rissani for a visit to its traditional souk, followed by a trip to a fossil workshop in Erfoud. Once back in Fes, you will be taken directly to your riad or the airport.
