2 days tour from Fes to Chefchaouen

On the first day of your 2 days tour from Fes to Chefchaouen, you will be picked up from your riad and leave for Meknes, one of the four imperial cities of Morocco steeped in a rich history.

There you will visit the famous Bab Mansour Gate – one of the most renowned and majestic in Morocco, the el-Hedim Square (which gets its name from the rubble left behind when the medieval kasbah was destroyed), and the impressive Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture as the final resting place of the country’s longest serving ruler for 55 years in the 17th century.

A must see before leaving Meknes is a stop at the Sahrij Swani – Basin of the Norias – a masterpiece complex with a large artificial lake which serviced the Imperial Kasbah at the time.

After seeing the sights, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Meknes.

Once refuelled, you will depart for Chefchaouen, a stunning blue-washed town in the Rif Mountains. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind city due to its fascinating alleyways, lively souks and blue-painted houses. The “Blue City” is one of the most beloved for photographers given its picturesque nature.

End the day with a spectacular sunset from the Spanish Mosque located on the top of a hill just opposite the city, which offers amazing views.

Spend the night at a riad.

On the second day of your 2 days tour from Fes to Chefchaouen, rise and shine for an early breakfast and get ready for a sightseeing tour of the magical city of Chefchaouen. 

Spend the morning venturing down the mazy blue alleyways to fully capture the essence of this wonderful city. Eventually, you will make your way over to the Grand Mosque.

Hop in the car for a short ride to the Akchour Waterfalls, one of the hidden gems near Chefchaouen. Spend some time soaking up the lovely surroundings, a haven for hikers and nature lovers.
