4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech

On the first day of our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, in the morning, we will pick you up from your Riad in Fes and head towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. On the way there, you will stop by Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Africa, and Azrou, a Berber village famous for its cedar forests and Wild monkeys.

You will then continue to Midelt, a small town known for apples, where you will have lunch. Afterward, you will drive through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, a town known for its fossils, before reaching Merzouga.

You will have a camel ride through the sand dunes to reach your desert camp where you will spend the night. Not to mention that, on the first day of our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will also have a chance to sandboard and enjoy a spectacular desert sunset from one of the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi.

On the second day of our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will make sure you wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes, then have breakfast at the camp and a cozy shower.

You will then take a 4×4 ride across the Sahara Desert to explore the desert lifestyle and meet actual nomads who lead traditional lives. After that, our driver will pick you up and head towards Riassani to visit its souk, then to Erfoud to see a fossil workshop. Next, will be the Toudgha Gorges, known for its mountains and cliffs.

It is in fact heaven for climbers and those obsessed with mountains and rocks. On the way there, you will stop by Rissani, a town known for its traditional souks and Ksars, before reaching the Toudgha Gorges. Afterward, you will continue to the Dades Gorges, where you will have dinner and spend the night. The second day of our 4-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech may end up in Ouarzazate or the Valley of Roses depending on the high season.

On the second day of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech after breakfast, you will leave the Dades Gorges and head towards Marrakech. You will pass by Skoura, known for its Kasbahs and palm groves, and Ouarzazate, the little Hollywood of Africa, where you visit the Atlas studios.

You will then continue to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the spot where some parts of some Hollywood movies were shot such as Gladiator, the Mummy, and so on, before driving through the High Atlas Mountains with their diverse scenery and landscapes.

When we arrive in Marrakech, you can explore Jamaa El fna square. The night will be spent at a great Riad.

On the final day of your 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will have a half day to explore Marrakech with a local guide often referred to as the “Red City.” We will get to see the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the bustling souks. In the afternoon, you can visit the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden that is also home to the Islamic Art Museum.

Later in the day, we’ll take to see the Yves Saint Laurent Museum or the Menara Gardens. In the evening, you can watch the sunset at the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which transforms into a lively night market. You will witness the best nightlife in Marrakech City and we are sure you will have a blast.
