Our 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga desert is one of its kind, as you will get to travel a long, yet fascinating road from Agadir city, passing through Ouarzazate and all the way to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga and then drive back to Agadir or Marrakech.

First, we are going to pick you up in Agadir city and drive over to Ouarzazate via Taroudant. Following our visit to Ouarzazate and night stay there, we are going to drive over to the Todra Gorge and then to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. 

Next, we are going to head over to Agdez. On the way there, we are going to stop by Erfoud, a small Saharan city known for its fossil shops and desert clothes. Then, we are going to carry on driving all the way to Agdez via Alnif and  Tazarine, two beautiful Berber towns in the southern part of Morocco.

Itinerary: 4 day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga desert

Day I: Agadir-Taroudant- The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou- Ouarzazate

On the first day of our 4-day desert tour from the coastal city of Agadir all the way to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga and back to Agadir, we are going to meet and pick you up and drive through a number of Berber villages, witness some of the best views along the way and take some pictures of all that as we go.

Next, We are going to stop in Taroudant, often said to be the small version of Marrakech, as both cities have almost the same vibe; we’ll explore Taroudant’s old medina, do some sightseeing, and take some pictures.

After that, we are going to drive to Taznakht and then to the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Following that, we are going to carry on driving to Ouarzazate, a city with amazing Kasbahs and fabulous architecture. We’ll spend the night there at a Riad.

Day II:Ouarzazate- Todra Gorges- Merzouga

On the second day of our 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga desert, we are going to get up early and head over to the Sahara Desert. On the way there, we are going to drive through Kelaat Mgouna, a town known for its roses breathtaking landscapes, and amazing nature.

Then we are going to drive all the way to the Gorges of Toudgha with their amazing cliffs and mountains and then continue all the way to the Sahara Desert. When we arrive in the Sahara Desert, you will have a Camel trekking across the Erg Chebbi Dunes, sandboarding, and the chance to enjoy a spectacular desert sunset.  And then spend the night at a well-equipped camp with everything you might need during your stay there

Day III: Merzouga- The Sahara Desert-Erfoud- Alnif-Tazarine-Nkob- Agdez

On the third day of our 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga desert, we encourage you to wake up early in order to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara Desert. It’s worth it, we promise!

After that, you’ll be taken to Rissani, a traditional market town known for its vibrant souks, and then hit the road to Agdez. On the way there, we’ll get to pass by a bunch of Saharan towns and villages, namely Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob.

When we arrive in Agdez, we’ll visit some of the ancient Kasbahs and see some of the most beautiful palm groves, and then we’ll spend the night at a Riad there.

Day IV: Agdez- Taznakht-Agadir

On the fourth day of our 4-day desert tour from Agadir all the way to Merzouga Sahara Desert and back, we are going to get up early and leave for Agadir city.  When we arrive back in Agadir, our 4-day tour comes to an end and we’ll drop you off at the airport/ Riad.
