Itinerary: 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert

Day I: MARRAKECH- ATLAS MOUNTAINS- TICHKA- AIT BENHADDOU- OUARZAZATE- DADES GORGES

On the first day of our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert, we’ll take you on an unforgettable journey in our beautiful country where you will create new memories and spend a memorable time in such a wonderful land.

today, as we travel to the Sahara desert, we’ll get to cross the high Atlas Mountain range, and stop for a while on the road for you to rest and for panoramic views. On our way, we will pay a visit to the Kasbah Telouat.

Once we cross the high Atlas part, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, You will see this amazing architecture and breathtaking views from above.

The Kasbah hosted the filming of a number of movies, both local and foreign as well. Afterward, we are going to drive through the city of Ouarzazate, known for its Kasbahs, Museums, and serenity. By the end of the day, we’ll get to Dades Valley where we’ll call it a day.

Day II:DADES VALLEY-TODGHA GORGES- MERZOUGA

On the second day of our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you are gonna have a delicious breakfast and head over to Merzouga to see and discover the Sahara Desert. On the way there, we are going pass through the famous Gorges of Toudgha, located a few miles away from Tinghir.

The gorges are breathtaking, in that you will see these giant mountains, water springs, and a bunch of cliffs and climbers. In fact, it is heaven for those into climbing and activities similar to that.

Last but not least, we are gonna get to the Sahara Desert, specifically Erg Chebbi, known for its golden sand dunes and incredible views. Here you’ll hop on a camel and trek into the mesmerizing Sahara Desert to spend the night in a luxury desert camp.

Day III: MERZOUGA- SAHARA DESERT TOUR

On the third day of our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we’ll set out on a new adventure, but this time it’s gonna be a local one, as we’ll only drive around the Sahara Desert in a 4×4 car. We’ll spend quality time there in the Sahara Desert with actual nomads and discover their traditional, yet wonderful lifestyle in the middle of the desert.

In addition to that, we’ll also drink mint tea, have local food, and listen to African music with their traditional dance. Not to mention driving on the dunes and on the Dakar trail. In the evening, we’ll get to the hotel and spend the night there.

Day IV: SAHARA DESERT- MERZOUGA- RISSANI-ZAGORA DESERT

On the fourth day of our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we’ll get up early to savor every moment of that spectacular sunrise of the Sahara Desert and drive to Zagora, another Desert town with a bunch of beautiful views and this Saharan weather which you’ll definitely admire.

Today, we will cross a big part of the Sahara desert of Morocco, while we are driving to Zagora off-roading, we will make stops along the way.

When we arrive in Zagora, we’ll spend the night there in the Sahara Desert and play some drums around the campfire as well as do some stargazing.

DAY V: ZAGORA- DESERT- DRAA VALLEY-TIZI N TICHKA-MARRAKECH

On day five of your 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, after a cozy night of sleep in the Sahara Desert of Zagora. First of all, we are going to get up early and see the last Saharan sunrise. After that, hit the road back to Marrakech.

We’re gonna take a different road so that you see other places and explore what’s left along the way such as the valley of Daraa, the small Atlas Mountains, and the Kasbah Taourirt. When we arrive in Marrakech, our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert will come to an end.
