7 day tour from Agadir to Marrakech via Merzouga desert

On the first day of our 7 days desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech via Merzouga desert, We will start our journey from the famous coastal and vibrant city of Agadir in the south of Morocco to Marrakech, a unique and most visited city in Morocco, often referred to as the Red city.

When we arrive in Marrakech, there are plenty of places to visit & a number of monuments to sightsee, namely the Secret Garden, the Majorel Garden, and Saadian Tombs. In the evening, if you are not exhausted, you will explore Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and enjoy a traditional dinner in the heart of Marrakech. We will spend the night at a Riad.

On the second day of your 7 day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga, we are going to leave Marrakech and head towards Boumalne Dades. On the way there, we will enjoy the most captivating scenery of the High Atlas Mountains & a bunch of Berber villages in the Mountains all the way to the popular Kasbah Ait Benhaddou near Ouarzazate city, a famous Kasbah with the best views and old, yet impressive architecture.

In addition to the fact that the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is beautiful and magical, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. It attracts thousands of visitors every year, thanks to the fact that parts of some famous movies were filmed there such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and many more, both local and foreign movies. 

We’ll have a delicious Moroccan lunch there and head over to Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas studios if you are interested. Our next stop will be at the Rose Valley.

We will continue our way after that to our Riad in Boumalne Dades.

On the third day of our 7 days desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech, we will carry on our adventure to the Sahara Desert. As we drive there, We’ll stop in the gorges of Toudgha and take a stroll in the famous Toudgha canyon where climbers of all nationalities go to do their climbing and engage in a lot of fun activities.

After that, we’ll carry on driving to Erfoud and then to the Sahara Desert (Merzouga). When we arrive in the Sahara Desert, you will have a Camel trekking across the Erg Chebbi Dunes, sandboarding, and the chance to enjoy a spectacular desert sunset.  And then spend the night at a well-equipped camp with everything you might need during your stay there.

On the fourth day of your 7-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga desert, we’ll dedicate this very day to a local tour around the Sahara desert. Today, we encourage you to wake up early in order to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara Desert. It’s worth it, we promise!

After breakfast at the camp, you’ll explore the surrounding area and visit a nomadic family to learn more about their traditional way of life. Also, visit Mifis mines, and listen to African music with their traditional dance in Khamlia.

In the afternoon you’ll head to the hotel, where you can relax and take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.

On day 5 of your 7-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga, After breakfast, we’ll leave for Ouarzazate. As we travel to Ouarzazate, we’ll often stop at some viewpoints on the road.

Our first stop will be at Rissani, a desert town with this great marketplace (Souk), and then continue driving through Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob all the way to Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest rivers, where we’ll stop to enjoy some of the breathtaking views and then carry on driving to Ouarzazate to spend the night.

On day 6 of your 7-day desert tour from Agadir, we will drive to Marrakech. In Marrakech, you will meet your local guide. you will spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant city of Marrakech as you visit the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the world-famous Djemaa el-Fna square, and weave your way through the streets of the UNESCO-listed medina.

There you’ll discover the intricate architecture of the Bahia Palace. In the evening, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the city’s famous night markets. 

On the last day of our 7 days desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech via Merzouga, we will leave Marrakesh and head back to Agadir where our journey ends.
